Hi readers, I am back after the short break with scans part (2). If you had read, you will know I need to go for bone scan and CT scan and I need a plug on my hand to inject the medicine to contrast my bone. So, after about 30 minutes, a doctor same to help me set the plug but i was worried cause I have the experience that a doctor might poke the needle and pull it out again and again at different parts of the hand cause that deem the vein not suitable. I think i am considered to be a patient that is hard to find the veins as my veins was too tiny.
Surprisingly, the doctor who was a female succeeded after trying once. It was really good for me and her. However, I saw blood stream down when she poked and I was like: doctor I haven’t eat yet and you give me a bloody scene, I think I will faint. After setting the plug, I was left to rest for 20 minutes before sending me down for a brief scan and injecting of the contrast to highlight my bones.
Subsequently, I rested in the ward while waiting for about 3-4h for the contrast to settle in my bones while I ate my bread that mum bought. At about 1-2pm, I was wheeled down by porter, for both my scans. I was supposed to complete my CT scan first but after waiting for 35minutes, it was still not my turn as we proceeded to do the bone scan first since bone scan needs a longer time to finish. After that, I was wheeled back to the DDI department where I have to wait another 20 minutes for my CT scan. Alas at 4pm, I was done with my scans and sent back to my ward where I could go home.
It was such a long day and I immediately went home and fall to a deep sleep. Yawns…zzz!! 🐽
Next week, I am also very busy with appointments and things… Thurs I am going to see my scan report! 🍀
